About BAYNNA and how it works

“Baynna” means “between us”. It's an Arabic-first peer-support platform for adults who want a safe place to talk about what they're going through, without revealing who they are.

Community: support from people who get it

Topic communities where you post under your pseudonym or with no name at all. Reactions are supportive only, in three ways: I relate, With you, Helpful. No likes and no competitive counters.

You can add a content warning to your post, and choose how sensitive content appears for you: shown, blurred or hidden.

Your private space

  • A private, encrypted journal.
  • Mood, sleep and habit tracking, with “your week” and “your month” reports: plain numbers from your own entries, with no medical conclusions.
  • Calming tools that work offline: breathing, grounding, a thought dump, and a delayed message you write now and send later.
  • A safety plan you write yourself, with a copy kept on your device so it's available offline.
  • A summary you can share with a professional: you choose the sections, and the link is temporary (7 days at most) and can be cancelled.

Safety first

The “I'm not okay” button is on every screen, even before you sign in. It asks how you feel right now, suggests a tool that fits, and puts crisis resources one tap away. All of it works offline and without AI.

Crisis numbers are checked regularly by the safety team, and we show when each was last verified. We never imply someone is watching in real time when no one is.

AI: optional

The AI companion is a reflection tool, not a specialist. It's off by default and only works with your consent. It doesn't diagnose or prescribe, and in risky moments it steps aside and shows real help resources and fixed, reviewed text.

What BAYNNA is not

  • Not a medical provider or a therapy service.
  • Not an emergency service.
  • No data selling and no targeted ads.

BAYNNA is not an emergency service or a substitute for a professional. If you are in danger right now, call local emergency services immediately. Crisis resources
