Deleting your BAYNNA account

You can delete your account at any time from inside the app. This page explains the steps, and what is deleted and what is kept.

Delete from the app

  1. Open the BAYNNA app and sign in.
  2. Go to Settings → Privacy → Delete account (حذف الحساب).
  3. If you like, export a copy of your data first from the same screen.
  4. Confirm it's you with your password, or with a 6-digit code we email you.

7 days to change your mind

  • Deletion becomes final 7 days after the request. The app shows you the date.
  • During those days your account is hidden from others, and posting, commenting and messaging are paused. You can still read and export your data.
  • Changed your mind? Sign in and tap “Cancel deletion” (إلغاء الحذف) before that date.
  • Your other devices are signed out. The device you used stays signed in so you can see the date or cancel.

What is deleted

  • Everything in your private space: journal, mood and sleep, AI conversations and memory, the safety plan and more. It is permanently deleted, and your encryption key is destroyed.
  • Your account: your email and sign-in details.
  • Your posts and comments: their text is erased and they show “This post was deleted”, so other people's replies stay in place.
  • Messages you sent: the other person sees “Message deleted”.
  • Your public profile: it becomes a placeholder with nothing about you.

What is kept, and for how long

  • Sealed safety evidence (reports and moderation and safety cases) is kept until those cases are closed under our retention policy. It refers to identifiers that no longer link to you.
  • Encrypted backups expire within 35 days at most and are then erased automatically. We can't promise instant removal from backups, and we only use them to restore the service after a failure.

Don't have the app?

Install the BAYNNA app on any device, sign in with the same account, then follow the steps above.

Want a break instead?

“Take a break” in Settings hides your account from others without deleting anything, and you come back whenever you sign in.
