Community rules
Protect people, not punish pain.
Expressing distress or hard thoughts is never a violation. If you write that you're going through a hard time, we'll connect you with support, not sanctions. These rules are about behavior that harms others; we use the lightest action that stops the harm, and we explain our decisions.
The rules
R1Bullying and harassment
No mocking someone's struggle (“attention-seeking”, “drama”), and no following or repeatedly bothering anyone.
R2Hate speech
No attacks on anyone for their religion, sect, ethnicity, nationality, tribe, gender, disability or health condition.
R3Threats and violence
No threats of violence against anyone, even veiled ones, and no blackmail of the “I'll expose you if…” kind.
R4Sexual content and exploitation
No sexual content or sexual requests, no sharing anyone's intimate images without consent, and no exploiting people when they're vulnerable.
R5Encouraging self-harm or sharing methods
Talking about your own pain and thoughts is never a violation. What's not allowed is encouraging or glorifying self-harm, or sharing method details.
R6Unsafe medical advice
Share your own experience, but don't recommend medicines or doses, tell anyone to stop their medication or care plan, label other people's conditions, or promote “miracle cures”.
R7Exposing or seeking personal information
Don't post anyone's real name, number, address, workplace or photos, and don't ask others for them (“what's your real name? give me your number”).
R8Spam and scams
No ads, repeated links, promoting services, or asking for money.
R9Impersonation
Don't claim to be a doctor, therapist, official, BAYNNA staff, or another member.
R10Pulling people to outside apps
Don't ask anyone to move to another app (Snapchat, Telegram, WhatsApp…). It's one of the most common ways people are groomed or scammed.
R11Protecting minors
BAYNNA is for adults (18+). Anything that exploits or endangers a minor is strictly forbidden and escalated immediately, and if a member is reported as possibly underage, protective limits apply until a review is done.
How reporting works
- You can report a post, comment, profile or private message, and choose a reason.
- The reporter's identity is never revealed to the person reported.
- When you report a private message, only that message and up to 10 messages before it are sent for review, and we tell you so before you send.
- You get status updates (received, reviewed, action taken or no violation), without details of any sanction.
- Reports about a risk to someone's life go straight to the safety team.
What happens when someone breaks a rule
We start with the lightest step that stops the harm: a reminder, then removing content, then a temporary limit on posting or messaging, then a temporary suspension. Permanent bans are only for severe or repeated cases and need an admin's approval. Every decision names the rule that applied.
No action ever takes away your access to crisis resources, your safety plan and private tools, or exporting your data and deleting your account.
Appealing a decision
- You can appeal content removal or any restriction or suspension within 30 days, once per decision.
- A different moderator reviews the appeal; permanent bans are reviewed by an admin.
- The outcome: the decision is upheld, changed, or reversed with content restored, and you get a short explanation.
BAYNNA is not an emergency service or a substitute for a professional. If you are in danger right now, call local emergency services immediately. Crisis resources
